Not Good News.... Help

Just got my scan results back and it was not good news.  I was diagnosed in June 2007 with stage IV colon cancer that had metatsised to my liver and in my abdomen.  Have been on FOLFOX -- good results, but got neuraphy in my feet so went to FOLFIRI.  Scans this time showed increased growth in all tumors and several new ones...  DR has basically said that I am out of options....  Cannot take Eurbitux -- had a very severe reaction to it.  I am asking for a second opinion and a referral to MD Anderson Hospital in Houston, TX.  Does any one have any other suggestions...  I am 53, F and am not ready to check out yet..  I feel better now than Ihave in 2 years....  HELP!

No options???  I would continue on the search for trials and other docs and hospitals.  Don't give up!!  We are all here for you .  Keep posting so we know how you are doing.  God bless and good luck.

Glad you're not giving up.  I've heard great things about M. D. Anderson.  My dr. called them about me last week and there was a 2 month wait.  Maybe the wait time depends on the case.  Good luck and keep that fighting attitude.

I'm so sorry to hear about your cancer.  Please move as quickly as possible to find a clinical trial.  My husband also had stage IV colon cancer with mets to his abdomen.  He passed away about a month ago.  We were too late in trying to search for clinical trials.  Once he was off the chemotherapy, the cancer spread very quickly.  So, speed for you in finding one is of the essence.  I will keep you in my prayers!  Good luck!
