My mother has stage 4 lung cancer. She has had 3 types of chemo, and has just finished 10 rounds of radiation. We aare waiting to see how the radiation has affected her tumor. She had a chest x-ray Monday that showed fluid in the lining around her lung. When we went to have it drawn off, they said it was to thick to pull off. This is very upsetting to us since the fluid is covering just over half of her right lung. We will see her doctor next week to find out what is next. Has anyone had this type of fluid and what can be done? I have searched for info but cannot find anything. Thanks!!
