It is exactly one month ago that I had my TT. I have been on synthroid 112 since then and have felt GREAT.

Yesterday I felt like I was in a fog the entire day and that is after 9 hours of sleep the night before. I was more tired then I have ever been in my entire life. Again today the same. I can't seem to wake up and I am at work. I called my doctors office and he is not in until Thursday. I am waiting to hear back from paging him but I had them fax over my blood test results from last week. It says my Free T4 is 2.0 which says it is high. What does that mean? It also says my Red Blood Cell Count is high. What does that mean?

Help! I feel a fog!

So, they put you on synthroid right after your TT?  Does that mean you will not be having RAI?   Well, I am not a expert, but the fact that you felt great for a while is probably because you still had some thyroid hormons left in you and that with the synth. probably made you feel good until your body realized, hey there is no thyroid anymore, and now the Synth. is not enough.  Which is why your T4 was a little high.  From what I understand when it is high that means your meds are too low.  I'm sure your endo will bump you up, then it will slowwwwwly get better.  It takes a good couple months for that to stabolize after having a adjustment.  Why you have a high red blood count?  I have no idea, I didn't know the endo even tested that.  I know I still crash sometimes and my TT was way back in Dec.  that is how long it takes to get all your levels figured out, and to get the correct med dose.  It will get better....It takes a while.  Will you be having RAI?  Skylog

Okay, I just read back on a different post, and you said you will be having RAI.  Is your doc using Thyrogen?  The reason I ask is because most of us go on Cytomel while waiting for RAI because it is quick working, and quick to leave your system.  Which is what needs to happen to have RAI.  Unless you get to use Thyrogen injections.

Yes, I am using thyrogen. Shot on the 16th, shot on the 17th and RAI on the 18th. My doctor went over my blood test results and said I am doing great. He said that I could be tired for many reasons, but that everything related to this is normal and looking great. Maybe I need to get some sleep? I don't know.
