Having had my kidney removed in 2003 a scan in 2007 showed nodules in my lung and hot spots on my adrenals. In April 2008 I had a lobectomy, which went wrong, they cut an artery, had to remove 2 lobes instead of just one, and had to give me 6 units of blood. Recovery has been long and painful. On my follow up visit last week I was advised that I didn't really need the operation at all, the lab report says the nodule is old scarring from TB and old pulonary emboli! I don't really know what to think. They don't do biopsies on renal cell metases so they weren't really to know. I had a CT Scan, and MRI and a PET which the glucose attached to the nodule. Has anyone else experienced the same thing?
