I'm writing on behalf of my mom (she doesn't really know how to use the computer). She was diagnosed with bladder cancer in 2006 and subsequently had one of her kidneys removed.
In 2007 we learned that her cancer had returned and spread to her lymph node. It was treated with chemo, and initially reduced in size, however on her next exam, doctors discovered that her tumor grew and also spread to her lungs and liver.
She was put on a different form of chemotherapy in January, but has had to stop it due to severe neuropathy.
Her doctors are thinking about putting her on Xeloda, and my mom was wondering if anybody here with bladder cancer has been treated with this drug. She was wondering in particular about various side effects people have experienced.
