Thank you all for posting treatments for radiation cystitis. My Dad had 37 radiation treaments in 2005. In May of 2007, he developed radiation cystitis. He is currently in the hosiptal with a catheter to flush out clots in his bladder after not being able to urinate. It has been 2 days since the cystocopy and installation of the catheter; he has been in extreme pain during this process and no signs of clearing. It saddens me to see him in pain and not be able to assist him.
Once he is out of the hospital, we are going to discuss hyperbaric oxygen treatments with his urologist. I can not have him go through this experience again.
