I have had some reall pain issuses in my back feet knees legs and of course i am to tired to bust out the gymn equipment right know. I hate the way doctors treat us all "26"  year old women without of the baggage of all the extra years a as well as othrer ailments that come along with getting older. Some of us have given birth to and raised children has surgeries have arthritis etc. Whe are all non made fro the same mold and we all have diferent pain levels. I', personally tired of going through all of t his with no pain support other take some Ibufrofin. Hey if you ar in your fifties it really doesn't for one thing take care of the pain and for anther thing just contuiues to destroy your stomach. I guesss I am frustrated anyone else?

I completley understand your frustration! I hate the way these damn docotors treat us period! Like my endo told me that it wouldn't be that bad as far as the hypo goes and to drink alot of coffee that would get me through! are you kidding me! he said the same thing about the RAI when it came time for that so I finaly snapped and asked if he had ever gone through any of it himself and he said no, so I was like what the hell, how can you say its not the bad then! He treated me like crap! I mad him prescribe me meds, for sleep and nausea, I wouldnt put up with it if I were you cause the truth is I haven't met an endo yet who has been through it!

Good luck and god bless!

I hate to say it, but that is the beauty of Thyrogen!  At least the medical community has come up with an alternative.  The problem is that it will take a long time for all of the endos to adopt a new method.  Many are afraid of new medical techniques.  Luckily my endo participated in a seminar put on by Sloan Kettering the weekend before I started treatments.  It was my saviour because I insisted on Thyrogen.  I'm glad I did.

You're right, they have never been through it so it's easy for them to say it's nothing.  My endo originally told me "You're young so you'll be fine.  You and your body can take it with no problem".  I'm 54 years old.  I did like the young part! :O

I still say all doctors should be required to sign on to a message board like this and learn what REALLY goes on!!

I hope it gets better for you!
