Subject: Wife Diagnosed With Stage Two
Date: 07/15/2005
My wife, age 42, was diagnosed with Stage Two-T3 Colon Cancer. She had surgery about a month ago and is coming along fine with recovery. What is getting her confused is whether or not to go for Chemo. The surgeon suggests she doesn't need it, the oncologist said maybe she should go into a clinical trial.

What are some others doing and how are the spouses handling being supportive?

Would be curious to know.

Thanks.

I hope your wife recovers completely. I have never had cancer but have been dealing with my grandmother's for many years. I would recommend chemo if your wife is strong enough mentally and physically. The chemo will take care of any cancer cells that may have gotten away. Good luck!
