Just wonder if anyone would know how fast would TG level be dropping after surgery?  I just had a right neck dissections.  What is the half life for TG?  Also,  I was told i have a LOWER WBC count ( white blood cell count)  Does it have anything to do with surgery?

any reply will be greatly appreciated...

thanks in advance

Hi Danny

I really don't know the answers to your questions but I just wanted to reply and say I hope you are doing okay after your dissection. I have heard that it isn't an easy surgery to have. I wonder if your white blood cell count is due to your surgery? Write all of your questions down for when you go back for your post-op visit. I looked up tg levels dropping after surgery and I didn't get any info on how long. Sorry.

Just wanted to reply and wish you all the best.

 Karen

I don't know about the WBC but I also had a neck dissection.  My thyroglobulin level dropped to half what it was but we were hoping for 0 so I have to get ready to have the scan again.  I had my dissection the 1st week in February and as of the beginning of June as I said it was half but the endo did indicate that due to the surgery the traceable numbers could reflect benign residual tissue.
