hi, its been over two weeks since my last treatment(radation) i can now eat food but items like pop and chips seem to still burn my tongue does anybody know how long this will take..

Hi,

       Glad to hear that you are done with your Radiation. Once you were done, the Radiation still contiues to work on you for a period of 2-3 weeks. Roughly after that period, your recovery begins with the healing of your mouth and neck. As mentioned many times, each person is different and also the number of RAD's that you received.  You may have received less than some and more than others.

       I found that when I gargled with the baking soda and salt solution prior to eating, it would numb my mouth a bit and it wouldn't seem to burn as much. Worked for me.

try 50mg of Zinc 3X/day with meals helps fot thr taste to come back quicker

I also used Glutimine as well and it seems to work well
