Well I"m GLAD to report that my brother in law's last scan just taken recently showed no cancer. But whats strange to me is that there is still some of the tumor left near the carotid artery. If there is no cancer showing on an MRI(with injection) then why would the Doctor tell him he still has to take chemo. Does it mean that the small part of the tumor left may be benign? Does it mean that the extra chemo is to be sure of any micro cells that may have escaped? I got the explanation but I am still a little confused. My relative live in AZ so its not easy to always get up to date info unless I talk to my sister in law who is a nurse. He has been fighting nasophyrangyl cancer for 7 years and when the found it years agao it was already metastasized. Sometimes I think they are just keeping it at bay and hoping for the best with constant ongoing treatment. I would appreciate anyone's opinion on this. You are all wonderful people and when my husband when through his cancer I came here often thank God he has been clean going on 5 years and is doing fine.

 God Bless all

Denise
