My wife and I just got back from a vacation. While we were gone (and she missed an Alimta treatment with her doctor's permission) here main side effect (a facial and upper body rash) resolved and she was looking and feeling really good.
After resuming Alimta treatments her rash came back worse than ever. She got into a serious funk and talked about quiting treatment. She said she'd rather have a shorter happy life, than a longone that is full of these side effects. She was angry and later told me that she was just frustrated about the situation. We have three children and she feels uncomfortable taking them anywhere because of her appearance.
She doesn't want to take any antidepressants because she was as few drugs in her system as possible.
Is there anything I can say or do to make her feel better?
