I was just diagnosed with breast cancer last month. I am scheduled to have a bilateral on july 5th. I am going on july 30 for a genetic testing. Can anyone share with me the recovery after this type of surgery and also tell me if you had the genetic test done and how it is done.Thank you

I have had a masectomy with reconstruction. I did not have the genetic testing done. I stayed in the hospital for about three days. I was off work for about a total of 4 weeks. Let me know what specific questions you have about the surgery and recovery.
