I just wanted to see if there was anyone else who has experienced neuropathy pain and numbness from avastin/taxotere?  I had my last treatment in Jan. and I am just now having this stuff..  pain in my right leg with a feeling that its buzzing...and also the numbness in my hands and legs..  I dont know weather to mention this to my dr or not..not sure if there is anything they will actually do for it?  I have a herceptin treatment this Wed. and I will mention it then to the nurses, but just wanted to see if others have had similar problems this far out from your last chemo dose?  And if so, was there anything that the dr. gave you to help ease it?  My leg has such a strange sensation when I am walking on it..almost spungy like.  I am kind of concerned about this...not sure if it is the neuropothy or something going on in my spine..  I have stage lV br. ca.  but it hasnt spread to my bones or spine or liver as yet..  the 4 cycles of chemo was able to put me into clinical remission..YEAH!!!  Hope so much that I stay that way for a while.  I'm not suppose to see dr. again until Aug. and I am wondering if this new concern should be evaluated sooner...  any one else out there had similar things going on after your chemo treatments this far out.?  I guess I should mention that I had a normal pet/ct scan the end of May..

Thank you for any response.

Jodie

looks like your may be suffering the side efects of the taxotere I would realy see your docter now as you could have a low blood-cell counts, and this could lead to an infection

I had 3 phases of chemo and taxotere was one of them, my last phase was abraxane.  I will be on herceptin until next January.  I have not had any pain so I would tell your doc at the next visit.  I will say my muscles are very constricted and everything I did would feel like my muscles were stretching - even the simpliest of tasks.  I just started yoga to help get my muscles back up to par.  I am supposed to start radiation but I just don't feel right about it

I had bad nerve pain that started near the end of my chemo.  Tell your doctor. There are things that can help you. My doctor prescribed Neurontin and I took it for several months and my nerve pain is now gone. They did not give me my last chemo treatment because she said that she did not want to cause permanent nerve damage.
