I represent "MedWise" , a firm which provides patient assistance programs. For qualifing individuals, those without prescription drug insurance who have to pay "out of pocket", we normally can work thru the pharmacutical companies to get you yout medications at greatly reduced cost. You must be a U.S. citizen to qualify. MEDWISE may be helpful but they are not free.  I think its $20 per med, per month.  Patient should also check out http://www.needymeds.com/ or http://www.rxassist.org/.  In addition you can go directly to the drug company web site for the med you are taking.  Most can help you with prescription assistance.  Many of these services are free.

Free prescription meds are available and can be accessed by individuals themselves.  The websites you gave are very useful for those that can and want to do it themselves. There are also those that require greater assistance to get through the process or those who need the benefit of PAP's but would rather pay to have someone else do it.

I have helped provide such a service for the past 6 years.  We have kept the costs low and have assisted many people without scamming them.  I am not trying to advertise our service, just provide the opinion that there is a real value for those that want or need this this option.
