First, I'm sorry for your news.  Now, take a deep breath and move forward.  You have a lot of information to gather before you panic.  Have you had a biopsy yet?  If not, wait until you get there results of that.  Many lumps are nothing at all.  If you've had a biopsy, what were the results?  Don't be afraid to ask questions.  Find out what all your options are.  Don't be afraid to get a second opinion.  You can get through this.

 Best of luck to you,

diagnosed 2 years ago and doing great!

Thoughts from a survivor (diagnosed in July 2004) who is doing great and is a true activist when it comes to women's health!

It is only natural that you are beside yourself with fear and anxiety.  But what you may not know is that the odds are you are not malignant; however, if you are?  Well, it is just amazing the advances in medicine.  You don't really know about the incredible success rate of surviving breast cancer until you have been in the dark, murky pool called "Cancer."  One thing I have learned is that "It is what it is" and that "you just do what you have to do."  Try not to awfulize.  Dig down deep into yourself and you'll find strength and courage and a knowledge that you WILL get through whatever this is!
