Tarceva and acne rash need help!

Hi...I new to this part of the board; usually I'm on the brain side. I have been put on Tarceva as a clinical trial. I know many of you might have used this before and may have had this discussion already, but I have the horrible acne rash, very bad, painful and ugly. Anyone have any suggestions on what has helped or how long it lasted?

I have been taking Tarceva (erlotinib) 150 mg every day since April 14, 2008. I had an acne response which lasted for about 2-3 weeks. The acne then subsided and has not returned since then.

If it helps, my onco doc says that peole who have the acne/rash response are also the same people who have gotten the best results from this medication! I hope that is the case for you.

In addition to the Tarceva, I get cisplatin and gemcitabine infusion every 3 weeks. This is for primary liver cancer.
