can u help me with my moms acid reflux...its to much to bare...

My mom..(Kat) had her stomach removed in Jan. of this year.(2008). she has a bad heart so chemo or radiation was out of the question... so now for her it is a waiting game... waiting to die..

In the meanwhile.. she has acid reflux really bad... we have tried every over the counter med as well as all of the prescribed meds...

today i came in to find my mom with tears strolling down her face ..and that is so sad because she does not cry..she raised 8 of us alone.. she is a widow....so she is a tough cookie.... she cant take the acid reflux... i dont know what to do?

vinigar is a recommended home treatment... but that is not good for a woman who is only 65 lbs at present..(normal weight being 160lbs).... as vinigar also helps you to lose weight....

i wish for her to have just one comfortable day! it really tears me up to see her this way.....

can someone pleeeeeeeze help us... any home remidies to help her....???

I have no home remedies , there may be some, I just don't know of any one way or the other. But , I just wanted to tell you that I have been working in a hospital for over 32 years and Morphine is a wonderful drug.Is she already on morphine.? I wish I could help you more. I am on this site because my Mom just was accidentally diagnosed with stomach cancer. So we are just at the very beginnings of our battle. My heart and prayers are with you both .

Has your mom tried Cimetidine I suffered excrutiating pain from acid reflux caused by a prescribed medication and this is what my med/alternative doctor recommended. It worked miracles for me right from the first pill. In the past I have used organic apple cider vinegar (with the mum in it) and it worked really well but then the condition was not as severe. I hope this helps. (Shemay)

Hi Sheila sorry for what you and your mum are  going through I don’t know if this will help much but I rang a cancer patient friend of mine he’s got cancer and he’s  had his stomach taken out about  three years a go. He said he had reflux after the op it stopped only when he realizes he  may have been eating a bit to much. He was having six small miles a day he said it less then half the size of bread and butter plate. It took him a while to get use to the fact he had no stomach. He ask if you mum was having the vitamin K injection. He’s the one who told me about the anti Cancer diet and to take lot of antioxidants to stop the cancer going else were. I suppose it’s hard when you’re got no stomach to put thing in to.  My self I think it strange your mum has reflex as she has no stomach to produce acid. He told me  The drug, known as H2 blockers, inhibit the production of stomach acid it used for patients with reflux also use with perm babies. To stop reflux pickled Ginger grate for reflux. I fight cancer by eating the fruit Pawpaw one quarter 4 times a day  then an antioxidant like 1000mg of Vitamin BI-O C at every meal 3000mg a day  please tell your mum  one of the best ways to help your body fight cancer don’t eat or drink any think that has simple  sugars in it theses are sugars we put in a cup of tea, or coffee, cakes, biscuits  etc as cancer loves sugar. If  she can take antioxidants this should help stop the cancer spreading to other parts of her body. it’ll  give your mum a fighting chance. Take care and God bless Ray

Thank you Blakhi grate post I have been told over the pass tear there are three things that course cancer diet, toxins, and stress,. I feel this will help with the stress it a amazing just sounds can make one feel so relaxed
