hello, first would like to say sorry for what you and your family are going through. dec.07' my grandam was diag, with stage 4 nsclc she passed march 15 i was her caregiver. fastfoward to october 07. my mother diag. with the same stage 4 nsclc. she celebrated her last birthday on may 7th. she turned 49. she passed on may 29th. i was also her caregiver.
as soon as my mom was diag i was put on effexor helped a lil. aftershe passed was put on cymbalta. it has helped alot for me and i stress for me.what i am trying to say is. you need to stay strong to or you will not be much support if you get depressed.im not saying you need to go on depression meds just that you need to stay strong. for me watching both my grandma and mom be taken from this horrible disease proved to be to much and i needed it. so i you or your sis need s it do not hesitate.
Alot of people react differantly to this thing called cancer. my grandma was pretty healthy all the way till she passed. my mom on the other hand suffered dearly and now suffers no longer. i feel for you i really do . if shaving your head helps by al means do it. before my mom went bald i told her the same thing. when she lost her hair i shaved completely bald . she said i shouldnt have done that but i could tell she appreciated it.
keep your spirits hi never lose hope sometimes thats all we have .your sister will be in my prayers. and one more thing this site helped me alot to as did going to local relay for life events. sorry so long winded but i could talk about this for hours.the larger her suport group the stronger her fight
