hello anyone--i've just found out that a friend has cancer again after three years. They don't know yet if it is brest cancer again or maybe ovarian--results are coming tomorrow. To make matters worse, she is six months pregnant.
She and I know each other from work (teachers)and we had bonded because of our mutual difficulty in trying to have children--she because of the cancer treatment and being in her late 30's, me because, well, only God knows....Anyway, this February, at just the same time, she found out she was pregnant, and my husband and I found out that a birthmother had chosen us and the adoption we had been persuing for 18 months, was finally happening. Our beautiful baby girl was born at the end of February and has been truly a joy for the last five months.
My question to those who have been there--what can I do for her that is really helpful? I'm afraid that my "happy ending" will be just another bitter pill for her. Help!!!
