I may be wrong, but I thought nodules and tumors were the same thing.
I have had the thing in my lung called a nodule and a tumor.
Why is she taking chemo? Have they done a biopsy?
I wouldn't take chemo unless my nodules were malignant.
I had a CAT scan needle bioposy. It is not painful, but you have to
lay still for about 15-20 min and breath a certain way when the Dr.
does the biopsy.
It should be proven that she has cancer before she has chemo.
Chemo kills good cells along with the cancer cells, so she would not
want to kill the good cells unless she has a proven cancer.. Go to
an oncologist to discuss this.

My mom was told by her oncologist about 1 1/2 months ago that they found nodules in both lungs and they are too small to consider cancerous however she has started again with chemo (Taxotere). They are not officially calling it cancer. They are calling them nodules instead. Has anyone else ever been told this?
