Hi!

My husband has had two surgeries in 1 year for liposarcoma in his abdomen. He also was diagnosed with carcinoma in his neck.  He had six weeks of radiation for that. He now works full time again at his high stressed job of 24 years.  He is an amazing man. He has more energy than I do (always has). So much of it is attitude. He kept a log to keep up with all his meds and took very good care of himself and I helped too ofcourse. He was forced onto a liquid diet for 3 months during the radiation of his throat and he made it through that too.  He stays upbeat and positve most of the time. He does not worry either. He trust in God. He used to drink Diet Coke 6-10 cans a day before we married and he so lovingly gave it up since I am health concious and he listened to me. Has anyone else done that and now has this cancer? Just wondering if there could be a connection.

Hi Terri,

I was much encouraged after reading your post about your courageous husband.  What an amazing man, God bless you both in your journey.  My daughter of 32 has been diagnosed with Liposarcoma.  They removed a high grade tumor from her back, but during a MRI two months post op two new nodules were discovered in her lung.  She has been undergoing chemo for those but has since had a re-occurence of the primary.  She will have to have more surgery this week.  We are praying fervently for her recovery.

God bless you and your husband.

Mims

Hello Mims,

Sorry to hear about your daughter's stuggles with this cancer. We were told at M.D. Anderson that Liposarcoma does not respond well to chemo. Thanks for your reply, glad we could encourage you...and you are right, he is amazing. He has since had a third surgery in his abdomen, they told him then that it had wrapped and intwined his aeorta, which is very serious. They offered chemo but did not promise much result. Bill declined chemo and instead has found a doctor in Guatemala that has had good results treating patients with natural methods. Bill said he does not want to jump on the chemo wagon if his chances are not good.

He starts new natural treatment next week...I will let you know what happens. We will be praying for your young daughter.
