HI TO MARTY AND ANNIE

Hi guys, it's Karen, just checking in and hoping all is well for the both of you. All is good here, my husband and I along with  Bailey and Gunner enjoyed a wonderful day at the beach last Saturday... made us laugh remembering how Forrest so disliked the beach but loved a good tromp through the woods!  As always, best of wishes to all of the special animals on this site, and most especially to you and your sweet Annie. I pray she is healthy, fat and sassy!! Karen

Hi Karen!
It's so good of you to keep an eye on this board and to remember Annie and me.  We have gone to the beach three times this summer and, unlike Forrest, Annie loves it!!! She loves the smells and we are lucky enough to go to a private beach where she she can run free.  

The first time she put her nose down on the shoreline and headed north--she would probably still be going that way had I not turned her around!!!! Annie doesn't mind the water at all--which is a good thing as she near drowned herself while stopping to pee.  It still takes forever-- and while standing there, the sand was being washed away beneath her feet and the wave was crashing over her head--but it was a grand time for us all!!!! 

She pees and walks and walks and pees and occasionally howls just for the shear joy of it.  I am so grateful for all the time I have with her.

You sound well and I am glad that is so.

Ha!!! What a sight that girl must be!! Makes me smile just to think of her on the beach!  So very glad that you and she are doing well. We heal a little bit more every day, miss sweet Forrest so much, but yes; life goes on and am always thankful for 13 amazing years. Continued prayers and well wishes, Karen.
