This is my first post even though I have been reading for several months. My father was dx with stave IV NSCLC in February. He began chemo after surgery spine and radiation on brain and spine. First chemo showed no response so now he has had 3 treatments of a "second line chemo". Does anyone know in laymans terms what this means? I only heard about this last night and from what I read, studies show that it does not extend life. His back pain has returned over the past week and he sees his neuro surgeon next Wednesday.
