Hi my name is Livia,I am on sutent, this is my 1st cycle.I have problems urinating. I dont urinate enough,or often enough, no matter how much i drink. Is this a normal side effect? Does anyone out there have/had this experience? i have other side effects too, they are thus far, unpleasant, but not dangerous. i am afraid that the urination problem, may be dangerous. My doctor says its not from the sutent, but i know it is, since it started one week after i started sutent. By the way , the tumors are on my pancreas, so my pancreas is probably not functioning well, i have enzyme and high blood sugar problems.

Hi Livia

I'm so sorry you're suffering.

My dad became severely dehydrated on his first round of Sutent.  He had kidney cancer, not pancreatic, so I'm not sure this applies to you.  He felt really awful from it but we thought it was side-effects from the Sutent.  The day before he went to the hospital and was diagnosed with dehydration, he had had several glasses of water.  I know because I brought them to him.  I was also the one who noticed he did not go to the bathroom once in the 9 hours I was there.   This may not apply to you at all, but I thought it was worth suggesting.
