Hi,

I'm not positive, but maybe they were hoping they'd go away or help with needing to take less of the liver?  I'm really not sure on that.  It's probably better that they take the whole lobe, though, in case any other microscopic cells were in that lobe also.

Best wishes-

Lisa

The Doctors decided to take out the entire right lobe of the liver...in a couple of weeks...do you think they are doing this because it is easier then to just take out the tumors? What was the point of shrinking the tumors if they were going to take the entire right lobe of the liver anyways?

Yaziza, Now they have decided to go ahead with the chemotherapy, instead of the surgery. They want to shrink the lung tumor all the way and we're praying that the liver tumor will shrink as well.  Hopefully, 100%. Susie Q

Good News....after about 13 months of chemo........the doctors can't find any trace of the cancer..Dad said he can breath now.  The doctor started crying....Dad was the last to be seen that day, so he is going back to tell the rest of the people he took chemo with.........so they know there is hope.  Our hope was in Gods healing powers.....
