I am scheduled for my first thyrogen shot on Aug 11 - my endo told me to start the LID one week prior.  He feels you get a more accurate reading with some caution to Iodine intake.

So I am doing it for a week.

Good Luck to you

I'm going for my one year scan (using the thyrogen) the second week of September.  I was told by my nuclear doctor to do the LID for two weeks prior to the testing.  He was even leaning on not doing the thyrogen for the first scan but I explained that going hypo was really horrible for me last year and I would REALLY prefer not doing that again.  He agreed to the thyrogen!

Okay, as many of you know I will be doing my 6 month scan with Thyrogen in a couple weeks.  For those of you that have done it, for the tracer dose only (not for the treatment dose), did you have to go on the LID?  My endo told me no diet for the scan, but if it is not a clean scan I will have to do the diet before more treatment.  Dies that sound right?  I just want to make sure the scan is correct.  I guess I could do the diet even if my endo doesn't think I need to.  I just would rather not.  However, I will do what I have to do to make sure it is as accurate as possible.  What do you all think?

This is the same info I recieved from my Endo. CindyLL
