Hi I have recently been diagnosed with cll but have had some symptoms such as tiredness and shortness of breath for a while now so guess I have had CLL for a few years. In two weeks I have to go for a bone marrow test and having read the descriptions on some sites where people have reported being in agony and yelling in pain, I would love to hear something more positive. I don't expect it to be totally pain free but if anyone has found it bearable it would make me feel better as I am dreading it at the moment.

I had a bone marrow test a few months ao and felt no pain, thanks to an excellent docotr who applied the test. They gave an intravenous relexant which put me very slowly to sleep andonly for a short period of time. Just tell the Doc you have a very low pain tolerance and they will help you. Don't worry, it will be OK.

Here in this country they take the bone marrow from two sections, plus a piece of the bone.

Thanks for your message of support, it makes me feel a lot better about the test and I'm sure will help anyone else that is worried. Take care.
