Worried About Mama

Hi Everybody,

                 Just a little background info for those that do not know my Mama's story. She had stage 1 breast cancer in 2000. In Dec 2006 was diagnosed with EC and had chemo and radiation for 5 1/2 weeks. This year has been awful. She has been in the hospital 5 times since Dec for COPD (lungs). She has really gotten much better the last 8 weeks. Almost back to her normal. She will be 77 years old Aug 28th.

      My concern. Yesterday we found out she has calcium deposits in her breast that had the cancer. The Dr wants to do an ultrasound and another mammogram. I can't seem to get my mind off of this. Is this cancer AGAIN? She deserves a break ! Has anyone heard of EC coming back to the breast first ? If it is cancer I don't know what they could do. Her lungs would not stand a surgery. I wish I could relax and stop the worry until I know. It could be from radiation but would it take 8 years for calcium to build up ? If anybody has any thoughts on this please let me know. Mainly I just want some prayers for her. Thanks for letting me vent also.

You are so right, your Mama needs a break.  I don't have any knowledge about any of this, I just wanted you to know that I am praying for Mama.  What a strong family you are!

Thank you for your prayers Becky. My Mama is the strong one. She told me she knew that God would take care of her and she wasn't worried. This woman doesn't have quit or give up in her. She is truly amazing. Thanks for your support.

Hi Suya,

          Thank you for the info on the calcium. Everybody has made me feel better about that. If you had ask me a couple of days ago about the smoking I would have been proud to say yes, she quit. I just found proof that she started back. I had suspicions, the way she coughing, seeing ashes on our porch. I am very, very disappointed. I think if this continues I won't have to worry about cancer. Thank you so much for the prayers. I am keeping you in mine.

Hi Pat:  We just got back from 2 weeks at Jellystone Park with Maria and the 2 little girls.  So sorry to hear about your Mama.  Please try not to worry too much - it won't help Mama and it sure won't help you.  Will continue to pray for you and your family.
