Anastamosis..Dialation

I believe my dad had a dialation done 2 months after surgery.  It is pretty common to have dialations.  Dad only had to have one dialation to make everything go down better.  Once he had it, he was swallowing much better.  It helped so very much!  There are people, though that have multiple dialtions.  It all really depends on the person.

My husband had surgery 4/18/2007, he has been dilated along with stents put in a total of 13 times, he is on his third stent, first one worked, but they took it out at 10 weeks and then it closed again, he has a peptic stricture which just doesnt seem to want to stay open. Second one migrated into his stomach.   We are now on our third stent going on 4 weeks now and is eating well.  Now they say they want to keep this one in until January, which we are all for if it works.
