Latest messages for CancerCompass discussion http://www.cancercompass.com/message-board/message/all,26415,0.htm Tue, 24 Nov 2009 00:00:00 GMT Tue, 24 Nov 2009 00:00:00 GMT http://backend.userland.com/rss RSS.NET: http://www.rssdotnet.com/ Just had my 4th carbo/taxol infusion yesterday.  Expecting that tomorrow afternoon the muscle and joint pain in my legs will start.  I take Advil three or four times daily and Vicodin or Percocet four times in between the Advil doses.  Also have found that a heating pad helps with the leg pains, as do the white surgical compression stockings; and getting up out of bed and walking and standing.  Sitting seems to give me the most trouble.  Have not had all-over pains.  The leg pain went away after two days the first treatment; and is lasting a bit longer each subsequent treatment.  Have had some mild neuropathy in balls and heels of feet since second treatment.Have only been mildly nauseated once; no vomiting.  Appetite good.The most disturbing side effect was losing hair, began on day 15 of first treatment, with heavy loss days 19-21, and 95% gone by day 7 of second treatment.  But I got over it and now am enjoying how light and cool and breezy being bald is, lol.  Gotta make the most of those side effects, including very little leg shaving necessary!I also usually have a couple of bouts of diarrhea per cycle which is quickly resolved after one or two doses of immodium.Let me know if you have any more questions.   chatsnoir Fri, 25 Jul 2008 00:00:00 GMT HiDx 5/30 with nsclc in right lung with mets to brain, lymph nodes, bones and possible liver.  Started chemo on Monday with Taxol and Carboplatin and Zometa.  No nauseau but today started with intense flu like pain symptoms throughout my entire body.  Told to take aleve every 6 and perks every 4,. pain a little better.  Next round of chemo 8/11A litle tired, have a somewhat decent appetite.  Any thoughts  Marilyn56 Thu, 24 Jul 2008 00:00:00 GMT
