Anyone who has not been treated with alternative protocols ONLY for their cancers do not have the experience to say that they can not work. I am curious as to what their motives might be when they make such a statement. There are many of us with many different types of cancers who have been CURED of their disease gently and with no side effects, some even who were declared terminal by their oncologists. It is not appropriate to be using scare tactics when posting a message to a member who has chosen for whatever reason to stop taking chemotherapy treatments. There ARE other protocols that can bring a return to a healthy state and I am just one small example of that fact.

Having survived colon cancer with a basic chemo, radiation regime along with some alternatives I think I am in a good position to share my experience, strength and hope to those who also who have suffered and are currently working their way through colon cancer.  No scare tactics - just a provable application of traditional protocols in killing cancer and getting rid of tumors.  I'm still waiting for the same proof in the case of alternatives working ALONE to cure anything.  Some may help, as in my case, but working alone is highly debatable.  In this case specifically, I am only recommending testing to assure no mets or tumors are not present.  Use whatever you wish at any time you wish.  I am speaking from personal experience with the same cancer that these folks are suffering from.  And, I have no relationship with the FDA, big chemo or doctors parcticing the traditional approach.  I just know that my doctors following the traditional protocol have brought to NED .  I am 71 and healthy and I'm heading to the gym where I will be doing 14 to 15 miles on a stationary bike as I do 6 days a week.

And.............where's the proof that chemo/radiation alone is a cure?? Because people don't always survive that route should we argue, argue, argue that it's not a valid cure??? Don't be so critical, especially onthe alternative medicine board.

Now - now - play nice!

Shemay - I guess I am mistaken because I thought I read one of your posts that said you had also tried a conventional treatment method first and then later (and now) using alternative treatment.  Not important - just curious.  Neither Arnold or I say that alternative treatments don't work - it's just that we don't have the "proof" that they work by themselves.  I don't want to read from a caregiver on here that their loved one listened to someone on this forum and went with an alternative treatment only - one that didn't work FOR THEM.  If we present both sides and the person chooses alternative treatments only, then our conscious is clear (all of ours).  If an alternative treatment only works for someone I celebrate with them and I am elated that trials are going on with some of the more promising alternatives.  What person who has gone through cancer treatment wouldn't wish that those in the furture wouldn't have to endure what we went through (those of us that went through chemo and radiation)?  If a combined method worked for us, of course we are going to advocate for that because we personally know it worked.  As I have said before, if someone is really into alternative treatments they are NOT going to listen to anyone (Arnold, me, or anyone else) tell them to research it before going with alternative treatments only.  I personally don't respond to someone who has chosen alternative treatments alone after they have researched both.  I credit them with the intelligence to educate themselves and then choose - after all it is their life they are taking a chance with - not mine.  If they indicate that they are just scared of conventional treatment and are looking for an easier path then I will speak up.

vjh68 - I'm sure you were just taking up for Shemay - which is admirable - but seriously there are all kind of trials that chemo and radiation have killed cancer (sadly, not everyone survives cancer).  Arnold and I (and many many others) are living proof that it does.  Any alternative treatments I had were aimed at reducing the effects of chemo and radiation on my body - definitely not to kill the cancer.  My prayer is that someday - someone - will be able to "prove" that alternative treatments work and I won't need to go on here to tell others what to expect - that chemo and radiation will be a thing of the past.  Won't it be great when there is proof that an alternative works and we can all line up together behind the person diagnosed with cancer rather than have two lines behind them.  We are always stronger in numbers!

I'm sure this forum was intended to support others who are going through treatment and educate them as to what is out there.  How wonderful that we all have the right to express our opinions on this forum.  CTCA sponsors this forum and they believe in both conventional and alternative treatments - how wonderful that they allow people to speak up in favor of alternative treatments only and even against conventional treatment while others speak up against oncologists and FDA (I know you two don't but some do on here).

Shemay - I would really like it if you could send me any sites regarding the vaccine we were talking about.  No offense, but please no posts from here - not that I don't believe the person but I'm one of those that wants to research a subject myself and come up with my own conclusion rather than taking someone else's word for it.  My biggest concern about this vaccine is that we are already putting so much into our children that I want to know the interaction between what children are already receiving and what would be added into the mix with this vaccine.  If I believe after researching the subject that they haven't done sufficient testing I will definitely be writing my senator and congressmen.
