Hi my name is Jayme, My dad was just diagnosed with cancer cholangiocarcinoma. I guess his is really bad because they said that there is no treatment and that kemo would kill him. I really dont understand all this but the doctor said he had 6 weeks to 6 months to live.I have been reshearching this on the internet and found that it is a rare cancer and certain chemical exposers have been implicated in the devolpment of bile duct cancers primarily among workers in the aircraft industries??? My dad worked for Boeing for 20 years. Please contact me if anyone else can relate. Thank you, Jayme

Jayme, my name is Karen and my Dad was diagnosed with Bile Duct Cancer in May, 2005. He underwent a liver resection in June and has now begun chemotherapy. I have not been able to get a straight answer regarding life expectancy. He had the left lobe of his liver and gallbladder removed. One of the surrounding lymph nodes did test positive for cancer. I am learning to live One Day At A Time. I love my Dad dearly as I am sure you love your Dad with all your heart. Maybe we could email each other and try to help each other through this.

That is good news about the stent. No, thus far, my Dad has not had any jaundice. I am glad for you that they are doing something. We are going to get a second opinion about chemo this week. This is such a hard process isn't it?
