Hi, my name is Kathleen. I am a long time cancer survivor, but have only started on chemo a little over a week ago.

Since starting on chemo (Doxil), I have had numerous odd symptoms, from tiny red "dots" on my legs to mild nausea. None of them have been out of control. Sometimes I get very fatigued and feel just like napping. I was always a "busy" kind of person, worked full time and so I feel kind of guilty just laying around the house some days. Does anyone else experience this? Right after my surgeries, I was quite ill and in pain, so resting like this seemed like a normal healing response. Chemo is new to me and I just don't know whether it's the drug or just depression/laziness?

Any information anyone has about this would help me very much.

Warm regards,
Kathleen

I am about to receive my 5th Doxil treatment, and I've been experiencing a lot of fatigue for the last 3 weeks. Like you, I'm wondering if I'm depressed/lazy. I've been a cancer patient for just over a year--had debulking surgery for ovarian cancer (stage 4), then 6 rounds of carboplatin and taxol.Four months after the completion of that, my cancer returned, and I've been on Doxil since May. Generally I've felt pretty good, although I do get mouth sores.

Any suggestions on how to deal with the fatigue would be very helpful.
