Dana Reeve was not a smoker and I read on AOL that she was diag with lung cancer. A part of the article said "Dr. Scott Swanson, chief of thoracic surgery at Mount Sinai Medical Center in Manhattan, said that depending on the extent of Reeve's cancer, she would be treated with surgery, chemotherapy, radiation or a combination. He said researchers have noted an increase in lung cancer in nonsmoking women under age 51 and are trying to find the cause." My husband who stopped smoking 28 years ago just had surgery and I was talking to the other spouses who also had loved ones with Lung cancer and most of them said their spouses never smoked or quit many years ago. It makes one wonder if smoking does cause cancer. Lorrie
