I finished both chemo and radiation and experienced pain urinating while having radiation treatments, but recently began bleeding from my bladder, it's been a month (June 27th) that I finished with internal radiation and just two weeks ago the pain returned and the bleeding started, Has anyone experienced the same thing? Pyridium helps the pain but will the bleeding subside? Any information with this matter will help. Thank you

I think you need to contact your doctor.

I had chemotherapy and radiotherapy for invasive bladder cancer in 2006-6. Since then my bladder has bled intermittently and now almost constantly, but is usually only detectable by uristix analysis. My bladder is clear of recurrent tumours - had latest cystoscopy just today - and my surgeon and oncologist say the bleeding comes from capillaries stimulated/damaged by the radiation. It has a name that begins with tele or tela but I forget the full description. Check with your doctor if it is bright red and constant but thjere may not be anything to worry about.
