RE: stage 4 lung cancer

HiI have just been told my mom(age54) is diganosed with stage 3 squamous lung cancer. She was told 6-8 months. I am very worried about losing my mom. Even more now because I'm 5 and a half months pregnant and my first child. My mom and I are best friends and I'm very scared to raise this baby without my mom around for her advice. I think about her not being there for birthdays and Christmas's . I am also most worried about how my dad will get through this. I want to know if anyone has been giving this diagnosis and made it past the given time to live? She will be starting Chemo soon. Once every three weeks and only 4 times. Any good advice for me?
