Lycopene and soy isoflavones have considerable research support as far as reducing PC risk and, tumor growth, and quite possibly, metastasis, from what I have read. I have been taking large doses of them for several years. As far as reducing prostate size pre-prostatectomy, they probably would not do that, as far as I know, unless you have benign hypertrophy (harmless enlargement of the prostate, which can cause slow urination). Why do you want to reduce prostate size pre-surgery? If you have prostate cancer, wouldn't the cancer progress while you are hoping to reduce prostate size? Personally, I opted for the surgery ASAP, since my prostate was full of cancer, and now I have been in full remission for almost 4 years.
