One month after surgery he was diagnosed with AML (M1). So far we have consulted with 4 Leukemia specialists. Two of them said he won’t survive if he goes under chemotherapy (considering his age 73 years old and he is weakness because of surgery and using a lot of antibiotics), but two other ones suggested at least low dosage of chemotherapy. One of the doctors yesterday suggested us to use REVLIMID (lenalidomide). I am not sure how much it can be effective or if someone has a good result from using it.Our options are only supportive care, low dosage chemotherapy, high dosage chemotherapy and Revlimid.I really appreciate it for any advice or suggestion.
