I am so sorry you are facing this. I remember how frightened I was, while I waited for the lab report. Please insist on looking at the lab report, yourself, when it comes back. When your doctor did the cone biopsy, was it done via laser, LEEP, or cold knife? If your doctor didn't give you an explanation about how it was being done, and if your treatment options weren't discussed, please get a new doctor, immediately. It's a requirement for a doctor to give you that discussion. In the meantime, is there a loved one who could give you some support and spoiling, right now? I think we are all strong when we need to be, but it sure makes a difference when our loved ones are there for us! I had loved ones and friends cook for me, take me to tea, and let me just talk about how upset I was.I hope everything turns out well for you and that you won't have to go through this, again!

I had the exact results from my pap smear. This just means that you just have the beginnings of cancer. This is very treatable and doesn't look to be invasive yet. Carcinoma in situ indicates that cancer is detected on the surface. They will have you do a LEEP procedure and ensure they have removed the cancer that is on the surface. I have 4 children and was scared to death. I was also having abdominal problems at the time and also thought that I was going to die. Make sure you get your lap results and ask all your questions. I think you are going to be lucky because it appears so far that it was caught early, they just need to double check that they didn't miss anything in the testing.
