Just a note to let everyone know that my sister, age 49, lost her battle with stomach cancer after 16 months.  She died August 11, 2008.  She gave it her all and handled this disease with grace and dignity.  She was diagnosed with Stage IV stomach cancer and was unable to have surgery.  She did have 16 months of chemo, and finally quit due to constant throwing up and feeling so ill.  It wasn't long after she quit the chemo; that the she succombed to the cancer.  I just want everyone to know who is going through this awful disease -- never give up.  She didn't and always hoped there would be a cure.  I do believe that there are miracles that can happen; and I hope they find a cure for this disease.  Please know that I will pray every day for everyone who is going through this.  My hope is for each person and their families that are affected by this cancer that there will be a cure and people will no longer have to suffer.  Take care and my prayers are with each and every one of you.

May your sister enjoy her new found peace!  May you always remember her fondly and enjoy what you shared together.  May the pain pass in time, and may you never forget that you have your own life to enjoy!  Enjoy it, I am sure she would want you to!

My condolences. Let's hope that more cures will be found for all forms of cancer.

I am so sorry for your loss.  I, too, hope they find a cure or better treatment soon....I find it hard to keep hope that the outcome will be good.

Dear Cheryl, I am so sorry your dear sister lost this battle against this horrible disease.  Know she is at peace and forever out of pain and suffering.  I lost my dear husband Mike to this disease on February 22, 2008.  He was diagnosed with stage IV stomach cancer and fought for three years.  His quality of life was not good but he fought anyway.  Please keep happy memories in your heart and know you will be reunited with your dear sister.  Until then...

God bless you,

Diane, Mike's wife
