Sorry to hear about your situation.

My wife's surgery was aborted after the inital opening of abdomen as it was spread over the intestines and Sloan kettering doctor felt that surgery would not help.

Would appreciate getting experiences of people with any treatment for Retroperitoneal Liposarcoma.

We have been told that none of the Chemo drugs really work on it and there is not much available in the pipeline .

Thanks

Please do not be offended that I mention a dog in here, but I think this information may help your husband or others.

My dog got liposarcoma near her perineum (sp?). Dogs die much quicker than humans with this condition. Top time after biopsy is 3 months if metastasized. We are now a little past 3 months and her vet thinks she will be completely rid of it soon.

It had metastasized too bad to even attempt any treatments for her. I went the herbal route. She is my best friend. I couldn't give up or even accept losing her. There is not a lot of good information on treating liposarcoma with dogs, so I had to research humans mostly.

We put her on a raw diet ( in human terms that would be nuts, veggies, little fruit or meats).

We gave her Essiac Tea twice a day, high doses of vitamin C, used something called the "zapper" and Reiki massage.

Honestly, I did not quite believe in the Reiki, but it was offered to her at a price I couldn't refuse due to my desperation. On her second visit I knew there was something to it because a dog does not know that they are or aren't supposed to believe in something so the placebo effect is gone. Though the lady did not touch the leg the cancer had spread down to, my dog looked at her leg quite startled and continued to stare for a full minute at least. She felt something!

Many cancers kill by creating toxins that poison the liver and other major organs. The liver is the biggie in regards to poison filters. So we put her on  Cecilia's Immune Boost (Herbcorner.net) 321-757-7522, Oregon Grape Root, Bentonite Clay, Nettle Leaf, Dandelion Root, Burdock Root, Pau d'Arco, Echinacea, Red Clover Blossoms, Milk Thistle Seed (all roots and seeds are freshly ground for stronger medicinal qualities).

Within a few days, she stopped vomiting and her appetite was getting better. Then we started the "anti-cancer mix."

Cecilia's Tumor Reducing Formula (cured her husband from a brain tumor (cluster case) where the 9 others died within a year. This was 8 yrs  ago. They can no longer find any evidence of it)***Pau d'Arco, ***Turmeric, Ashwagandah, Astralugus, ***Dandelion Root, Comfrey, *Poke Root, *Mistletoe, Ginger, **Chaparral, ***Myrrh, Blood Root, Mullein, Shark Cartilage, Cinnamon, Nutmeg, Ginger, ***Wormwood

* means a small amount, ** and *** mean large amounts. I'm no scientist, my method of measuring was a handful of this and that in a large stainless steel bowl and then putting the mix into capsules.

I took her to the vet on the 19th and the tumor had shrunk from the size of a goose egg to a walnut and UNmetastasized. She was in disbelief! Because of the FDA, AMA and like organizations, she is not allowed to tell her patients to do natural medicine. She would lose her license and business because no money can be made off of herbs. Even with proof that they work!

It is important to remember it is the arrogance of mankind that makes him think he can take a single chemical from a plant and make it better than the Creator did. And in taking that single chemical, he loses the rest of the chemicals that work synergistically with the desired chemical to make it work better.

I hope this helps your husband. I am telling everyone I can about what has worked for us because whether your loved one is a human or a dog, they are loved and those left behind are the ones who hurt forever more.

One other important factor in here. Cancer feeds on sugar and carbs. It is essential that the diet consists of proteins and fats only. Don't give it more fuel. It also thrives in an acidic condition. Our normal PH level is 7.35-7.45 too much on either side will kill, but you want to stay closer to the 7.45 side to slow it down.

Best of luck to you!

Thanks for the information and your other email

Some of the medicines mentioned in Cecilia's mix are ayurvedic medicines that my wife is already using .

Please send me details on how to obtain Cecilia's medicines.

Thanks for your assistance.

My husband (age 47) was just diagnosed with retroperitoneal sarcoma. The tumor was high grade and weighed about 30 pounds. The surgeon said he removed it all along with the kidney. Also told us that chemo and radiation have not been found to be effective at this point. We go for our 3 month follow-up after Christmas. This is very scary - especially that the doctor said that his tumors had a high probability of returning. Wish there was something else we could do...

My husband, age 59 now, has been fighting this for 2 years. I would recommend taking him to MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas. They have a Sarcoma center that specializes in this type of cancer only. My husband's doctor is Janice Cormier. He had his second surgery there and they took wonderful care of him. They still follow his case as he takes chemo back home. Good luck!

My husband has had surgery 4 times for liposarcoma over 4 years, and  and it is only 4 months since the last operation and the tumours are back.  He has had sunitinib, which didn't work, ifosomide, which also had no affect and trabectitin which also didn't help.

We are now in the situation, where he needs another operation, but the the tumours will be back probably within two months, he is having radiotherapy for the first time, on two tumours, but the others in his stomach can't be treated with radiation.

If anybody has any ideas, please let me know.

My husband has been fighting this for 2 years with 2 operations. He basically is full of these tumors. He is now in chemo but he just keeps fighting. We went to MD Anderson in Houston, Texas. They specialize in Sarcomas. Good luck!

Hello,

I also have liposarcoma cancer. In August of 2008, I had a tumer the size of a tennis ball removed from the inside of my stomach. I was told that they haven't seen this type of cancer in the stomah before. This past December they found several tumors in my stomach and now they want to take out my whole stomach.

What are the doctors telling you about your situation?

Thanks for your help,

George

I

My husbands sarcoma was first found in his stomach and yes it is rare to be there. They took out a 20 lb tumor along with kidney, spleen, adrenal gland and part of pancreas. It returned 12 months later and we went to MD Anderson in Houston for the second surgery. They have a sarcoma center. I would recommend them. Good luck!

I am happy to hear that your husband's treatment is going well at MD Anderson. I know that is a great hospital. We are going to Sloan in New York, which also has a great Sarcoma center. We live in New Jersey, so it is close for us to get there.

My husband also had large 10 lb liposarcoma (high grade dedifferetited) and had kidney removed 2 yrs ago at Memorial Sloan Kettering. Our surgeon there was excellent--world reknown! We came back to TX where we live and 6 months later we found 3 spots in his lungs. We began treatment with wonderful sarcoma oncologist at MD Anderson. Chemo was unsuccessful but he wanted us to give it try. He had his lung surgeries done at MDA and we began a phase 1 trial study there in July. He feels and looks great--no side effects like in chemo. They do offer many of same trials @ Sloan as MDA. Both Sloan and MDA are the top two cancer centers in the world. You and your husband are blessed to be there! Hang in there!

I am sorry your husband had a recurrence, especially so soon after his surgery. I am glad that you found MD Anderson and he has been doing well with the trial. Please keep me posted on how your husband is doing with the trial. Do you know the name of the trial? I wish you both all the best.
