My friend of 63 years died today of pancreatic cancer. I know this is the colon cancer board, I am a survivor, but I needed to say that I am having a sad day. She fought with all her might, but the big C beat her. We went to each other's 5th birthday parties. It is hard when such long and dear friends are taken too young and 68 is too young today. Thanks for listening. Barbara

Barbara,

I am so sorry for your loss.  You are right, 68 is too young today!  But cancer knows no boundaries of age, sex, nationality or income but attacking all indiscriminately.

My husband also has pancreatic cancer that he has been living with since 12/06  and colon cancer since 9/01.  We face life one day at a time.

May God hold you close and comfort you in your sorrow.  Sending you peace and prayers.

Thank you sooooo much for your concern! My friend had a strong faith and feels she will now be with her daughter, who died of cancer at the age of 10, but I will miss her. Barbara
