First of all, I understand you are scared. That is normal and certainly understandable. I am a single, 46 female with diagnosed with Transitional Cell and now it is in my bladder. I was diagnosed in 2000 and informed it was in and had started, in my right kidney. After a radical nephrectomy and BCG, and testing and proceedures every three months I am still alive. My surgeon is fantastic and I would recommed that you take your husband to MAYO clinic in Rochester, MN. Dr. George Chow is awesome!! I had a very very slim chance of survival and with the grace of GOD and Dr. Chow's ability I am doing well. I go to MAYO every three months for testing and I am so very grateful to them. A lot of people think it is real expensive but it is actually cheaper than most local hospitals, because it is a teaching facility. They also work with you on payments. If you would like more information, go to www.mayoclinic.org or you may email me at Sonnieintl@aol.com I will keep you and your family in my prayers. There is HOPE and if you are not at MAYO Clinic, you should seriously consider jumping in your car and going there immediatley! GF
