Cancer Treatment Centers of America

Hi, Does anyone have any experiences with Cancer Treatment Centers of America? My father has liver cancer, which is rare in the United States. We are frustrated with our current doctor because he basically told us that there was no hope. Not in those words, but it was something to that extent. He wants to "wait and see", which goes against our thinking. Why wait when there are options out there. Someone suggested CTCA as an option. I've read all of the messages about it so far and I found a couple that make me nervous. They talk about how they got stuck with the bill and all. My father's insurance company said that in is in area for them and they would cover 100%, except for things that are not scientifically proven to help (meaning Vitamins, etc) This makes me a bit nervous. Has anyone been in this situation? Thanks, Eva

Eva - I have been to the Cancer Center in Zion, Ill. 3 times and found everything covered by my ins. I did call the Cancer Center first and they checked out my ins. for me. You have a choice whether or not you buy the vitamins (which normally is not covered by any ins) and they certainly do not push them. Please call them for added info. I don't think you will regret it. Jean
