an update...

Hi friends,
 
I'm really not sure how to write this post... I have always had such positive, uplifting things to say! 
 
I seen my oncologist today and received the results from last weeks CT scan.  On my last scan, I had only one small liver lesion remaining.  Well, that lesion has increased in size and there is now a new lesion also.  My CEA had increased to 55 also.
 
The Dr. believes that my chemo has just stopped working.  He suggests that I take 4 weeks off of all chemo, and then start a new regimen.  I asked about getting a second opinion, and he agreed with that idea. 
 
In the morning , I am going to try to make an appointment with Dr. Ilson at MSK and Dr. Adelstein at the Cleveland Clinic.
 
Although I was very upset and disappointed with this news, I will keep fighting and relying on my faith to carry me through.  The beast may think it has an upper hand on me right now, but my God is much stronger and bigger than any old ugly disease!  So, I say "bring it on!"  I'm ready for round 2!
 
Please keep me in your prayers.  I have to keep a clear mind in the next few days in order to make competent decisions regarding my care!
