Regarding the "traditional process" which I've noticed a poster mentioned as being the "conventional" way: ie: chemo/radiation.  I was just curious as to why or how we label the different methods as we do.

The definition of conventional in the New Websters Collegiate Dictionary is:" "formed by agreement or compact"  "Lacking originality or individuality: TRITE"  the definition of "compact (above) is "to make up by connecting or combining"

definition of tradition: "the handing down of information, beliefs, and customs by word of mouth or by example from one generation to another without written instruction."  "an inherited pattern of thought or action. .  "cultural continuity in social attitudes and institutions"

The definition of tradition and convention when looked at can be used in both the "alternative" and the "conventional" and they seem to incorporate both.   The medical establishments and pharmacy's form an agreement (compact) but herbalist and alternative practitioners, and I as well,  have combined and connected my treatments and herbal remedies to be more efficient in the treatment.

Can anybody enlighten me.
