Help. Does anyone know Stage IV esophageal alt. treatments

My daughter (33) has esophageal cancer that has spread to her liver.  She had been on chemo with good results but the chemo has stopped working and the chemo was stopped.  She will be off of it for 4 weeks and then be on a new chemo.  She is going to get second opinions and wants to try alternative therapy also.

I have been trying to research alternative therapy for her and am getting very confused as to which is the best one for this type of cancer.  Does anyone know of the best alternative therapies.

Hello, have you looked into I.V. Vit. C infusions?  Vitamin C intravenously has therapeutic properties.  I dont know of any studies regarding esophageal cancer, but it's method of operation is that it creates hydrogen peroxide on a cellular level. This hydrogen peroxide kills cancer cells. It is not a cure, but it works well with chemo, and there is anecdotal evidence that alone it has cured some stage I.V. cancers when all other treatments have failed.

hi robin sorry for what you and your daughter are going through I have seen a lot of cancer patient with this I got this little bit from the site below  Most tumors contain a small percentage, approximately 2%, of multiple drug-resistant cells (MDR cells). Chemo is not effective against these cells. After the first round of chemo, if the chemo is effective, all of the cells that are not MDR, are destroyed. Since this accounts for the vast majority of the tumor mass, the tumor will appear to be effectively destroyed. However, the MDR cells remain and start to multiply. Eventually, a new tumor is formed that is entirely MDR. The next time chemo is used, none of the cells will be destroyed because they are all MDR. Paw Paw and Graviola are the only cancer treatment that have shown effectiveness against MDR cells.I know this this will  help as I also take it I all so have a quarter of a leval tea spoon of bi-cab soda in my cups of green tea helps me sleep all the best Ray

Hi Robin if she’s going back on chemo ask your doctor about taking high dose Vitamin D  with it as it makes the chemo work better and protects the body against the bad side effects of the chemo. I found this looking for ways to treat my prostrate cancer but it works with all cancers every treatment Iv seen talks about taking amino acids and all so Selenium: Numerous studies show that this mineral can interfere with the activity of certain genes that promote the growth of cancer and to induce cancer cells to commit suicide (apoptosis) I take a high mineral supplement if you don’t mind doing a bit of reading here a link to a good site http://www.apjohncancerinstitute.org/cancer/esophageal.htm

Don’t just depend on chemo

this site  talks about treatment with chemo and radiation but the last bit of it said  you have a better chance fighting cancer with your  treatment  if you have a cancer fighting  diet and takeing minerals hope this helps Ray

Check my blog at http://cancerspiritualtpath.blogspot.com/ there's a list of supplements. I think beating this requires a lifestyle change that is pretty dramatic. I don't think a single protocol whether vitamin C or apricot pits by themselves will do it. I've been stage 4 since 10/06 and have beat my prognosis by about a year so far. I'm very healthy except for some fatigue. This is a full time job. naps, juicing, supplements, exercise, emotional/spiritual work, but if your daughter wants to stay here, it's so worthwhile. The cancer has made me a better person. Do I see it as a 'gift' yet? Hah! working on it. :-) Love and peace to you and your daughter.
