She just had a colonoscopy two months ago and there was NO sign of cancer,and her doc said it could be a side effect from treatment or a sign of colon cancer reoccuring in the colon. Has anyone heard of this??? Also, does anyone know the importance of platelet counts? any advice.... Private Reply Quote Reply to This Message Flick_liz06 Message: Bleeding After Chemo-please Help Patient Flick_liz06 Recommend this Message Report Abuse Email a Friend Track this Message [Remove] Subject: Bleeding After Chemo-please Help Date: 10/24/2006 Hey my name is liz ,I have AML .I have not heard of any side affect that makes you bleed.But recently I have learned the importance of platelet count.Plateets are little cells that are formed in your bone morrow .the job of these cells are to make your blood clog.If your platelet count is low than that means that there is not enough of these cells to maintain your blood in so with any lil cut you can basically bleed to death.
