papillary serous type

I am being treated for endometrial papillary serous cancer.  I would like to hear from others with this form...concerning their protocols, where they are in treatment, how long have they been in treatment, what was the stage of their cancer when diagnosed, etc. 

I have had major "debulking" surgery and 6 rounds of taxol and carbo-platin.  I know there is a very high rate of recurrence and wish to know how others have fared.

Dear Mimi, my cancer was diagnosed as having serous and papillary components, so it is not the "pure type". My treatment, however, went farther than yours, because after the taxol/carboplatin chemo I also went through 28 sessions of external beam radiation, and three sessions of vaginal brachytherapy. My surgery was in August 2004, and I completed chemo in December of that year and radiation in april 2005. My cancer was stage 3c, grade 2. Also I had read that I had only a 25% survival chance for the following three years, but thank God I am still on this earth! Not only this, but during these years I have been highly inspired, and have written hundreds of poems. A short story I wrote about cancer even won an award. So, let us treasure the deep sense of awareness and sensitivity that goes with our experience. I always knew that someday I was going to die, but now I know it better! And I know that any extension on that moment, which is going to be the peak of EVERYBODY'S existence, gives me more of a chance to go through that transition feeling SATISFIED. Ilaria from Italy
